Last night we went for dinner at a restaurant near the Victory Monument and it was an amazing buffet for $159 Baht. Unbelievable! We cooked our meat on a rounded metal thing and boiled vegetables around it and had jelly and ice with sugar syrup for dessert! I love every second of it. Tomorrow the plan is to go to Hanoi. I'll keep you posted.

The sights I see during my commute to work and more
I have a 35 minute commute from one side of Canberra to the Parliamentary Zone (approx) to get to school and I see many beautiful areas as I am driving that I cannot stop to enjoy. Today (Sunday) I got up super early so that I could capture the areas I drive by with the amazing light emerging as the day starts. I stopped to take photos of course.
The sunrise from Mirrabei Drive
Sunrise from Gungahlin Drive
Balloons and paragliders at Lady Denman Drive
View of the Arboretum from Scrivener Dam area

It doesn't matter where you are in the world, there is always a set to be painted.
Have a great Exchange Teacher Orientation all you ABED Teachers going on exchange in 2016! You can see my moose, leaf and flag proudly displayed in the Creative Arts Faculty Office, my desk specifically. Happy Canada Day too! A bit early but I'll be on school holidays then so won't have anyone to celebrate with. I'll have to make something before school ends to take to school. Any ideas of Canadian themed desserts other than Nanaimo bars? Let me know.

Spider season indoors and Praying Mantis' outdoors
I have seen 3 spiders in the last two days inside the house. I don't know what kind they are and hopefully nothing harmful. I am pretty sure there are more lurking under furniture and behind cupboards and other things. As long as they stay out of my way I can coexist but will remove or kill them if I see them. I don't really want to kill them but sometimes it's not easy to get them outside.
I hope I don't see any more.
And I really hope I don't see a Huntsman spider because those are HUGE even though they are harmless. I don't even think I would have the guts to try to move it or even kill it.
I do however love the Praying Mantis. They are beautiful, delicate and graceful insects. Just look a those eyes. Doesn't it look like a character from Star Wars or a Sci-Fi movie of some sort?
