A lovely drama colleague of mine in Australia offered to take me to Bowral and Berrima today which was incredibly kind of her. She picked me up early and we headed off to the two towns that took me at least two weeks to learn how to pronounce and remember. We started in Goulburn which I have been to before but never really stopped in and went inside the Big Merino and then headed to the bakery across the street which was incredibly busy but everything was yummy! After that we headed to the other two towns which were 'country towns' and quite cute.
I thought this next picture was hilarious so I had to include it. It reminded me of all the stupid things that Albertans and Americans hang from the hitch of their trucks.
The prison in Berrima that we thought wasn't in use anymore so we were hoping to go in. Clearly other people think the same because they have posted a sign that says it is a functioning prison and not a museum but the do have open house days. Imagine.
This is a Camellia tree which I have never seen before in my life. It was truly unbelievable. That is Cate standing with it. She is a drama colleague of mine down under offered to show me around.
No trip is complete without a little sugar!
Cate trying on a series of cool hats. This was the most tame of the lot. I thought it was quite glamorous
Great little wooden duck sculptures
