I am just getting used to the routine

So now I am comfortable, I understand how things work, who to go to for what, how marking works, where to find things etc, and there are only 52 days of school left.

Where did the time go? I can't believe it's almost over. I am now trying to make up for lost time by making art everyday to give to the friends I've made here and to leave at the school (birdhouses for each of the house groups made with clay).

I have learned so many things from all of the great teachers here. So many new techniques and processes that I will implement into my teaching in Canada. I can't wait to go back to do printmaking with my students! There are so many possibilities and I'm excited. I will obviously be sad to leave my colleagues and my students as they have given me so much in terms of support, assistance and friendship.  I consider myself to be lucky to be in a school with a large creative art's faculty that cooperates and helps when needed. It will be lonely next year at my school being the only art teacher. The Visual Arts Teachers here are experts in their field. They are not generalists. Students are lucky to be working on high level art in their junior high and high school years. I am not sure if that is the same in all schools but it is definitely in the private school I'm in.
